U-Line Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
U-Line makes the appliance you forget is there, under a bar top or in an island, until warm drinks remind you. We repair U-Line units independently, without any service contract with the maker. If yours is still under U-Line's warranty, file the claim with them first; after that, we diagnose it where it is installed and quote before any work.

Which U-Line Appliance Needs Work?
Built-in refrigeration and nothing else
Henry Uihlein started U-Line in Milwaukee in 1962, and the company built its reputation on compact, built-in refrigeration and ice machines. Middleby bought it in 2014, and since 2026 it has belonged to Composition Brands, the former Middleby residential group now controlled by 26North, alongside Viking and La Cornue.
The lineup stays narrow by design. Think undercounter refrigeration in its various forms (full-size undercounter boxes, drawers, beverage centers), plus wine captains and clear-ice machines, many in outdoor versions. In Tampa they turn up in kitchen islands, home bars and media rooms, and in outdoor kitchens on screened lanais and pool decks.
Where U-Line repairs usually start
Because the unit can only breathe through its bottom-front grille, anything that blocks it is the quickest route to a warm U-Line. Beyond that, fans, sensors and controls cause a good share of calls, along with hinges and gaskets on doors that swing open all evening when people are over.
The clear-ice machines are a category of their own. Water flows over a chilled plate and freezes into a slab, which drops onto a heated wire grid that cuts it into cubes. Scale, the cutter grid, the drain and the water supply cause most of their trouble.
Outdoor units, salt and storms
An outdoor U-Line has to handle heat, humidity and, near the bay, salty air that pits exposed metal and coats the condenser. Each model's manual lists the conditions it is built for. Keep the grille clear of leaves and lanai dust, and if a unit went dead after a lightning storm or a hurricane outage, we check the power supply and control before blaming refrigeration. A unit that sat in floodwater should not be powered up until it has been inspected.
U-Line appliance lines
- Refrigerators: Undercounter refrigerators, drawers and beverage centers for indoor or outdoor use. Usual calls: warm cabinets from a blocked vent, failed fans and controls, worn gaskets and doors that sag.
- Ice Makers: Clear-ice machines with a gravity drain or a drain pump. Typical calls: no ice, thin or slow production, scale on the plate, cutter grid faults and drain pump failures.
- Wine Coolers: Wine captains and dual-zone wine refrigerators. Calls usually involve a zone drifting warm, fans, condensation on the glass and door seals.
U-Line parts and sourcing
U-Line parts come through the brand and through appliance parts distributors. Fans, sensors, gaskets, hinges, cutter grids and drain pumps are generally available by model and serial number, while control boards for older units can be harder to find. We confirm the part at the visit and tell you how long it should take.
U-Line visits are booked across Tampa and the wider Tampa Bay area; the list of areas and ZIP codes shows whether your street is covered.

Didn't see your question?
Send us the make, the model tag and what the appliance is doing. Some problems can be narrowed down before anyone drives over; most need hands on the machine.
Composition Brands, the residential kitchen company formed when 26North took a controlling stake in Middleby's residential business in 2026. Middleby, which bought U-Line in 2014, keeps a minority share. We order parts by the model and serial number on your unit.
Start at the vent along the bottom front. The unit pulls air in and pushes heat out there, so dust or a rug in front of it cuts cooling. If the vent is clean, the fans, the sensor and the door gasket are what we test next.
Only an outdoor-rated model, and check its manual for the conditions it's built for. Shade helps, so does a clean grille, and near the bay it pays to wipe salt off the stainless.
