Kenmore Washer Repair in Tampa
In-home service for Kenmore washers in Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater and the surrounding Tampa Bay communities. Top-load and front-load washers, largely Whirlpool (110) or LG (796) designs. Most repairs involve the drain pump, a lid or door lock, a coupler, the shifter or the door boot.
Booking online? The Kenmore washer's model tag in the notes helps us line up the right part.
Tell us the appliance and your area, then how to reach you, and we'll follow up to arrange the visit.
Kenmore Washer Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Kenmore has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your washer is still under Kenmore's factory warranty, start with Kenmore. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.
How a Washer Repair Visit Works
Tell Us the Symptom
The brand, the model tag, and what happens: no fill, no drain, a leak, a smell or a code.
In-Home Testing
We test the pump, valves and door or lid lock, and look at the drain line and supply hoses too.
A Price You Approve
We explain what failed and quote the repair. Nothing is done until you agree to the price.
Fix and Check
After the repair we test a full cycle and check for leaks, noise or codes before we leave.
Inside a Kenmore washer
Most Kenmore washers come from two families. A 110 prefix means Whirlpool: older direct-drive top-loaders with a motor coupler, newer high-efficiency top-loaders with a lid lock and shifter, and front-loaders, including earlier Kenmore Elite models built on Whirlpool's Duet platform. A 796 prefix means LG, with a direct-drive motor, a door lock and a pump filter behind a small door low on the front. Front-loaders in a humid climate grow mildew in the door boot unless the door is left open between loads. In an upstairs laundry room, a drain hose that slips out of the standpipe or a burst fill hose can ruin the ceiling below, so the hoses get a look on every visit.
Common Kenmore washer failures
- Coupler broken on direct-drive top-loaders
- Lid or door lock not engaging
- Drain pump clogged
- Front-load tub bearings worn
- Shifter stuck between modes

Didn't see your question?
Tell us the brand, model number and the symptom. A few things can be ruled out from a description; most faults need testing on site.
The model prefix, because a 110 Whirlpool-built washer and a 796 LG-built one fail differently. Frequent causes are a pump blocked with debris, a lock that never latches, a broken coupler on older top-loaders or a shifter fault on newer ones.
Usually nothing is broken. Mildew feeds on water left in the boot, the detergent drawer or the pump filter, and humid air helps it grow. Leave the door and drawer ajar after each load, wipe the boot dry and run the cleaning cycle every so often. A smell that will not go away can mean a slow drain or a torn boot, and we check for both.
