LG Washer Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals

LG has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your washer is still under LG's factory warranty, start with LG. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Garage laundry
With no basements here, many washers sit in an attached garage, often on a sloped slab. Tell us how we get into the garage.
Dishwashers that won't dry
In a muggy kitchen, plastic dishes stay wet. Check that the rinse-aid dispenser is full before booking; if the heater is out, we'll find it.
Upstairs laundry
In a two-story home a leaking washer shows up on the ceiling below. Close the supply valves and keep the door shut; we can drain it on site.
Bungalows & older houses
In a pre-war bungalow or an early ranch, a modern appliance may be wired into a much older house. We look at the outlet, supply line and vent along with the unit.
Straight answers
If an older unit isn't worth the money to fix, we say so plainly and show you which part gave out.
Homes closed for months
Back after a season away? Run water through the lines and give the fridge a day before judging it, and tell us how long the house sat closed.

How a Washer Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Tell us the cycle it fails on and any error code; a photo of the model plate saves time.

02

Find the Fault

We test the pump, valves and door or lid lock, and look at the drain line and supply hoses too.

03

Your Go-Ahead

You hear the diagnosis and the price, and decide. If the repair isn't worth it, we'll tell you.

04

Fixed and Verified

We install the part matched to your model, then run it to make sure the problem is gone.

LG washer design and construction

There's no belt in an LG front-loader: a rotor fixed to the back of the tub is spun directly by a stator. A small hall sensor on the stator tells the board where the rotor is, and when it fails the washer may show LE and refuse to spin or spin roughly. OE means the tub didn't drain, and the coin trap behind the lower-left access panel is the first place to look. IE is a fill problem, often clogged inlet screens. UE is an off-balance load; dE is the door lock. A growl or roar in spin that gets louder over months is the tub bearing, and on many LG models the bearing comes only with the outer tub, which affects whether the repair is worth it. In an upstairs laundry, a leaking door boot can show on the ceiling below first.

Common LG washer failures

  • Coin trap and pump clogged (OE)
  • Rotor position sensor failing (LE)
  • Tub bearing roaring in spin
  • Door lock not engaging (dE)
  • Inlet screens clogged (IE)

FAQ

LG Washer Repair FAQ

Short answers to what people usually ask before a visit. Anything not covered can go in the notes when you book.

Didn't see your question?

Send us the make, the model tag and what the appliance is doing. Some problems can be narrowed down before anyone drives over; most need hands on the machine.

The control couldn't turn the motor the way it expected. A failed rotor position sensor, loose motor wiring, a jammed tub, or an overloaded drum can all cause it. We check the sensor and wiring first, since those are the common and simpler fixes.

A roar that builds over time usually means tub bearings. On many LG front-loaders that means replacing the outer tub assembly, which is a big job. We confirm the cause, price it, and tell you plainly if a new washer makes more sense.
