Electrolux Washer Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals

Electrolux has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your washer is still under Electrolux's factory warranty, start with Electrolux. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Dishwashers that won't dry
In a muggy kitchen, plastic dishes stay wet. Check that the rinse-aid dispenser is full before booking; if the heater is out, we'll find it.
Upstairs laundry
In a two-story home a leaking washer shows up on the ceiling below. Close the supply valves and keep the door shut; we can drain it on site.
Garage laundry
With no basements here, many washers sit in an attached garage, often on a sloped slab. Tell us how we get into the garage.
Bungalows & older houses
In a pre-war bungalow or an early ranch, a modern appliance may be wired into a much older house. We look at the outlet, supply line and vent along with the unit.
Straight answers
If an older unit isn't worth the money to fix, we say so plainly and show you which part gave out.
Homes closed for months
Back after a season away? Run water through the lines and give the fridge a day before judging it, and tell us how long the house sat closed.

How a Washer Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

The brand, the model tag, and what happens: no fill, no drain, a leak, a smell or a code.

02

Diagnosis at Home

We test the pump, valves and door or lid lock, and look at the drain line and supply hoses too.

03

Quote Before Work

We explain what failed and quote the repair. Nothing is done until you agree to the price.

04

Repair and Test

After the repair we test a full cycle and check for leaks, noise or codes before we leave.

Electrolux washer design and construction

An Electrolux front-loader suspends its tub on springs and dampers, seals the opening with a rubber boot, and relies on an electronic lock to hold the door during the cycle. Drain water passes through a pump with a coin trap behind the lower front panel, and many models run the SmartBoost premix before washing. The calls we expect: a drain error because the trap is full, a door that stays locked after the cycle, and a roar during spin once the tub bearings wear. On this style of washer, the metal drum support, often called the spider, can corrode over the years, and a drum that wobbles or knocks may mean a tub teardown. Machines set on a sloped garage slab need leveling to the floor as it really is, or they wear faster.

Common Electrolux washer failures

  • Drain pump filter clogged
  • Door lock not releasing
  • Tub bearings loud in spin
  • Door boot torn or mildewed
  • Drum support arm corroded

Problems that aren't peculiar to Electrolux are explained on the washer repair page. Our Tampa Bay service areas page shows where Electrolux visits are booked.

FAQ

Electrolux Washer Repair FAQ

Short answers to what people usually ask before a visit. Anything not covered can go in the notes when you book.

Didn't see your question?

Describe what's happening and include the model plate if you can. We'll say what we can from that, and the rest gets checked at your home.

The drain pump filter behind the lower front panel. Lay down towels, open it slowly and clear out socks, coins or lint, and make sure the drain hose is not kinked. If it still will not drain, we test the pump and the control.

Uneven loads, a machine that is not level and a flexing floor all produce banging. If a balanced load still knocks, worn dampers or a failing drum support are next on the list, and the suspension and drum get inspected before you see a quote.
