Avanti Washer Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals

Avanti has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your washer is still under Avanti's factory warranty, start with Avanti. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Dishwashers that won't dry
In a muggy kitchen, plastic dishes stay wet. Check that the rinse-aid dispenser is full before booking; if the heater is out, we'll find it.
Upstairs laundry
In a two-story home a leaking washer shows up on the ceiling below. Close the supply valves and keep the door shut; we can drain it on site.
Garage laundry
With no basements here, many washers sit in an attached garage, often on a sloped slab. Tell us how we get into the garage.
Bungalows & older houses
In a pre-war bungalow or an early ranch, a modern appliance may be wired into a much older house. We look at the outlet, supply line and vent along with the unit.
Straight answers
If an older unit isn't worth the money to fix, we say so plainly and show you which part gave out.
Homes closed for months
Back after a season away? Run water through the lines and give the fridge a day before judging it, and tell us how long the house sat closed.

How a Washer Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Tell us the cycle it fails on and any error code; a photo of the model plate saves time.

02

Find the Fault

We test the pump, valves and door or lid lock, and look at the drain line and supply hoses too.

03

Your Go-Ahead

We explain what failed and quote the repair. Nothing is done until you agree to the price.

04

Fixed and Verified

After the repair we test a full cycle and check for leaks, noise or codes before we leave.

Inside an Avanti washer

The Avanti portable washer was made for homes without laundry plumbing. It takes water from the kitchen faucet through a snap-on adapter and dumps it into the sink or tub through a hose, which is why we find them in student rentals and older apartments. Each convenience has a matching weak spot. Adapters drip once their rubber washer hardens, the small pump chokes on lint or a stray sock, lid switches stop reporting closed, and top-load models slip their belt or clutch. Avanti's compact front-loaders act like shrunken full-size machines, with a door lock, pump and suspension to wear. In our humidity, closing the lid right after a load invites a musty tub.

Common Avanti washer failures

  • Small pump choked by a sock
  • Lid switch reads open
  • Faucet adapter dripping
  • Belt slipping during spin
  • Front-loader door lock failed

Problems that aren't peculiar to Avanti are explained on the washer repair page. Our Tampa Bay service areas page shows where Avanti visits are booked.

FAQ

Avanti Washer Repair FAQ

A few plain answers before you book. Details about your home or the appliance can go in the form's notes field.

Didn't see your question?

Tell us the brand, model number and the symptom. A few things can be ruled out from a description; most faults need testing on site.

Look for a kink in the drain hose and make sure its end isn't higher than the manual allows; these pumps lift very little. Then check the pump inlet for a sock or lint wad. A pump that hums without moving water, or makes no sound, needs testing along with the signal that runs it.

Most threaded aerator spouts take the supplied adapter. Pull-down sprayers and faucets with no aerator threads generally won't. When the adapter drips, a missing rubber washer or worn coupling is the usual reason, and either costs little.
