Atosa Ice Maker Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals

Atosa has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your ice maker is still under Atosa's factory warranty, start with Atosa. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Salt air near the bay
Close to the water, condenser coils and fan motors corrode sooner. A unit on a lanai or outdoor kitchen should be outdoor-rated.
Hot garages
A second fridge or chest freezer in a summer garage may cycle nonstop and still run warm. Compare the garage to the ambient range in the owner's manual before calling it broken.
After an outage
Once power is back, give the unit a day to pull down before judging it. If it still won't hold temperature, mention the outage when you book.
Condos & gated communities
High-rises Downtown or on Bayshore, HOA gates in Westchase or New Tampa: put the gate code, elevator rules or guest parking spot in your notes.
Tenants & owners
A renter can set up the visit. We report the diagnosis and the quote to whoever owns the appliance, and they sign off before the repair.
Bungalows & older houses
In a pre-war bungalow or an early ranch, a modern appliance may be wired into a much older house. We look at the outlet, supply line and vent along with the unit.

How an Ice Maker Repair Visit Works

01

Describe the Problem

Note the temperatures if you have a thermometer, any frost or puddles, and the model number from inside the door.

02

Diagnosis at Home

We read coil and cabinet temperatures, check both fans and test the defrost parts before naming the fault.

03

Quote Before Work

We show you the failed part and give a price for the fix; the work waits for your yes.

04

Repair and Test

With the part fitted, we run the appliance through a cycle while you're there to confirm the fix.

Atosa ice maker design and construction

Atosa sells ice machines as modular heads that sit on a bin and as self-contained undercounter units. Both freeze water over an evaporator plate, then warm it briefly to drop the ice into storage. Minerals in the water slowly coat that plate and the water path, so harvests get slower and cubes come out thin or cloudy unless the machine is descaled with the right cleaner. An air-cooled condenser behind a bar or next to a cook line clogs fast, and a machine in a hot back room simply makes less ice. A clogged screen in the water inlet valve or a weak water pump starves the freeze cycle. The bin sensor that stops production when the bin is full will also stop it early if it's coated or knocked out of position.

Common Atosa ice maker failures

  • Mineral scale slowing harvest
  • Inlet valve screen clogged
  • Condenser clogged
  • Bin sensor shutting off early
  • Water pump weak or distributor plugged

FAQ

Atosa Ice Maker Repair FAQ

A few plain answers before you book. Details about your home or the appliance can go in the form's notes field.

Didn't see your question?

Describe what's happening and include the model plate if you can. We'll say what we can from that, and the rest gets checked at your home.

At least as often as the manual says, and sooner when your water scales heavily. Descaling and sanitizing keep the ice clear and the harvest on time. A filter on the incoming line helps too.

Scale on the plate, poor water flow or a dirty condenser are the usual causes. We check the water supply, the cleanliness of the machine and its refrigeration performance.
