Avanti Wine Cooler Service for Houses, Condos and Rentals
Avanti has no connection to us, and we aren't one of its authorized repair centers. If your wine cooler is still under Avanti's factory warranty, start with Avanti. After that coverage ends, send us the model number and what it's doing when you book; that lets us research parts before the visit.

Inside an Avanti wine cooler
Avanti sells two kinds of wine cooler that behave very differently. A thermoelectric model has no compressor; a Peltier module and fans move heat out, it runs nearly silent, and it can only get so far below the room, so in a warm room it reads warm. A compressor model cools harder and runs from a digital control and sensor. On both, the fans are the weak link, and a thermoelectric cabinet stops cooling entirely once its fans quit. Glass doors sweat if the seal leaks or the indoor air is muggy, which is common in Florida houses where the thermostat is set high while people are away. Knowing which type you own is step one, since it defines normal.
Common Avanti wine cooler failures
- Peltier module stopped pumping heat
- Fan motor quit
- Sensor reading off
- Leaky seal fogging glass
- Blank control display

Didn't see your question?
Send us the make, the model tag and what the appliance is doing. Some problems can be narrowed down before anyone drives over; most need hands on the machine.
If it's thermoelectric and the room is warm, that may be its limit, since these units only cool so far below the surrounding air. Compare the room with the rated range in the manual. A compressor model missing its set point, or a thermoelectric one struggling in a cool room, needs its fans, sensor and cooling checked.
Light fog in muggy weather is normal. Heavy, constant sweating usually comes from a seal that isn't closing, a cabinet out of level so the door hangs slightly open, or a very low setting. Seal and leveling are what we look at first.
